Alex was able to qualify 16th out of 44 drivers.
For our first battle to get into the top 16, we were paired up against Alex Pfeiffer in the Megan Racing/Nexen tires 350Z. After laying down a solid lead run, the judges gave us a huge advantage over Pfeiffer
On our chase run, Alex straightened out but immediately regained drift and was neck to
neck with Pfeiffer’s door. Fortunately Alex Pfeiffer spun out and Alex Lee was
awarded the win. During the Formula Drift top 16 ceremony, the crowd (roughly
20,000 people) went wild when Alex was introduced. After an intense ceremony,
it was time to battle against one of Formula Drift’s veteran driver; Tyler
Mcquarrie in his sprint car V8 powered 350Z
During
our lead run, Alex held his own but was unable to receive the advantage from
the judges. On our chase run, Tyler’s 350Z pushing well over 800hp left us in
the dust. We were knocked out but finished 16th place and were
awarded 55 points, placing above some of the big names in Formula Drift. We Here at SERIALNINE could not be more proud of Alex and are very excited to watch this young star grow.
